About the position

DigiFlight, Inc. is seeking an Agile/DevSecOps Specialist to support an agile team using the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology for a nationally significant program. The Agile/DevSecOps Specialist will possess a strong knowledge of SAFe best practices and tools for tracking and managing product development. This role is pivotal in leading the technical implementation and maintenance of automation infrastructure, aimed at enhancing collaboration and productivity within software development teams. The specialist will be responsible for providing a robust Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline, ensuring that code is validated for quality and security while being deployed continuously. The primary responsibilities include embedding an agile culture through various agile and SAFe methodologies, creating an open and trust-based environment that focuses on delivery and continuous improvement, and assessing team and organizational culture to identify areas for enhancement. The specialist will also identify and recommend tools and techniques to support agile processes, oversee training in agile methodologies, and ensure that implemented use cases adhere to the established framework. Additionally, the role involves interfacing with DHS engineers and architects regarding architecture standards and guidelines, defining best practices for development teams, and presenting Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and metrics for continuous improvement. The specialist will deliver training programs to instill DevOps values as outlined by Agile and Lean methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for embedding an agile culture using techniques from a wide range of agile and SAFe methodologies and frameworks
• Helps to create an open and trust-based environment, which enables a focus on delivery and facilitates continuous improvement
• Assess team/organizational culture and delivery processes to identify and facilitate improvements
• Identifies and recommends tools and techniques to support agile processes
• Oversees training of agile methodologies/tools by conducting formal classroom courses, workshops, and seminars
• Assesses environment framework and helps to ensure implemented use cases adhere to that framework
• Interfaces with DHS engineers/architects regarding architecture standards/guidelines/policies based on needs and anticipated technology advances
• Defines and sets best standards and practices that development teams can utilize
• Define, measure and present Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and metrics for continuous improvement
• Deliver proven training programs to explain and instill DevOps values including those as detailed by Agile and Lean

Requirements

• In-depth knowledge and experience navigating enterprise IT environments
• In-depth knowledge and experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, BDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing
• High proficiency in using the Atlassian Suite (JIRA, Confluence)
• Excellent leadership and listening skills
• Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
• SAFe 5.1 SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) Certification
• Experience with version control, containers, Dockers, Jenkins/Gitlab, Kubernetes and Ansible
• Candidate must have a MA/MS degree with a minimum of 10 years of experience, or a BS/BA degree with a minimum of 12 years of total experience
• Candidate must be a US Citizen
• Candidate must have an active TS/SCI
