About the position

SAIC is seeking an Infrastructure Project Manager to support a significant US government agency in the National Capital Region. This role involves leading and managing critical IT infrastructure projects, including migrations and upgrades of various systems and applications. The position requires on-site work in Washington, D.C. for two days a week and involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage IT infrastructure projects including Azure and Microsoft Dynamics migrations, operating system upgrades, and more.
  • Provide leadership and direction to cross-functional project teams.
  • Conduct scrum ceremonies and manage project scope.
  • Coordinate stakeholder participation and assess project risks.
  • Report progress against project plans and collect lessons learned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of project management experience in a technical environment.
  • At least 8 years of experience leading IT projects in a project or task manager role.
  • PMP Certification is required.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodology and Scrum framework.
  • Broad knowledge of current information technology systems and infrastructures.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact with stakeholders.
  • Leadership skills to manage diverse teams.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Strong understanding of IT Infrastructure projects and SDLC.
  • Technical experience and certifications in Microsoft technologies.
  • Knowledge and experience in Change and Release Management, IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS.
  • Experience using Azure DevOps Server for project management.
  • Experience managing IT infrastructure projects through Agile methodology.
  • Working knowledge of network technologies, Active Directory, Windows OS, and cloud applications like Office365 and SharePoint Online.
