About the position

The Agile IT Project Coordinator at Guidehouse plays a crucial role in supporting the development and maintenance of a global information system for a US Federal Government client. This position involves coordinating with various stakeholders, managing project scope, schedule, and risks, and ensuring effective communication and reporting within the Project Management Office (PMO). The coordinator will work within an agile framework, maintaining the product backlog, refining user stories, and demonstrating completed functionalities to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with multiple stakeholders including business owners and development team members.
  • Define project requirements and identify process improvements.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, and risk.
  • Conduct testing and draft system guidance.
  • Report project status to stakeholders.
  • Maintain the product backlog and refine user stories with business owners and developers.
  • Establish and maintain the release plan.
  • Demonstrate completed functionality to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED SECRET Federal or DoD security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Four (4) or more years of professional experience, with at least THREE (3) years in Agile/Project Management.

Nice-to-haves

  • PMP Certification
  • Agile Certification (Scrum Master, SAFe, Product Owner, etc.)
  • Project management knowledge and experience on IT-related projects using Agile methodology.
  • Experience using Agile Scrum and/or Kanban methodology.
  • Experience monitoring project progress and implementing corrective actions.
  • Experience facilitating meetings with clients to gather and analyze system specifications and user requirements.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
