About the position

Forge Forward is searching for an Agile Manager to support a client in Patuxent River, MD. This full-time position requires a bachelor's degree with 3-7 years of experience in managing Agile projects, preferably with Department of Defense (DoD) organizations and programs. The position is hybrid, requiring applicants to be onsite 3 days a week. US citizenship with an active Secret clearance is required. The Agile Manager will be responsible for implementing an Agile/semi-Agile framework for managing the actions and activities associated with fielding new acquisition capabilities. This necessitates not only the implementation of agile best practices but also the ability to navigate and manage multiple stakeholders within and outside the organization. The role involves utilizing and implementing Scrum frameworks to remove obstacles, conduct meetings, and communicate effectively with stakeholders. The Agile Manager will employ a continuous delivery approach to maintenance and ensure customer satisfaction. Responsibilities also include gathering, evaluating, and translating requirements into actionable features, as well as managing internal (Forge Forward) and client (government) actions and activities throughout project execution.

Responsibilities

  • Implement an Agile/semi-Agile framework for managing acquisition capabilities.
  • Utilize and implement Scrum frameworks to remove obstacles and conduct meetings.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Employ a continuous delivery approach to maintenance and customer satisfaction.
  • Gather, evaluate, and translate requirements into features.
  • Manage internal and client actions and activities throughout project execution.

Requirements

  • 3-7 years managing Agile projects, preferably with DoD organizations and programs.
  • Bachelor's degree in Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • US Citizenship with an interim or full clearance at the Secret level or above.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with building product backlog and planning sprints.
  • Experience managing sprints, sprint testing, and demonstrations.
  • Familiarity with Kanban Boards.
  • Experience cultivating a social network via face-to-face interactions.
  • Experience welcoming evolving requirements into features.
  • PMP certification.
