About The Position

The Agile Marketing Director at MetLife is a pivotal role focused on leading and developing a high-performing team of agile marketing managers. This position is responsible for fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration within the marketing organization, ensuring the effective adoption of agile marketing practices. The director will act as a player-coach, guiding teams through agile ceremonies and managing key initiatives to enhance marketing efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA or relevant certification in Agile is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in a marketing role, and 5 years of experience managing teams in an agile marketing environment.
  • Demonstrated success in scaling, coaching, and leading agile marketing teams.
  • Experience developing training materials and leading training sessions for teams at different levels of agile maturity.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Proficiency with agile marketing tools such as Workfront, Jira, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • A proactive and flexible mindset.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in Agile methodologies (e.g., Certified Scrum Master)

Responsibilities

  • Hire, lead, mentor, and manage a team of agile marketing managers.
  • Develop and deliver training programs and materials related to agile marketing methodologies.
  • Oversee the implementation and management of agile marketing processes, including sprint planning and retrospectives.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance agile marketing practices and workflows.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional marketing teams to align agile practices with business goals.
  • Document and share best practices and learnings from agile marketing initiatives.
  • Track and report on the performance of agile marketing teams using key metrics.
  • Proactively address potential issues and resolve conflicts within agile teams.
