Travelers is seeking an Agile Product Owner to lead a team in delivering capabilities and solutions in an agile manner. This position is crucial as it acts as the voice of the end-user, guiding the day-to-day work of a smaller scale team with a focus on achieving defined outcomes rather than dictating how the work is completed. The Agile Product Owner will play a key role in the evolution of the Inland Marine product, which aims to provide a more modern, competitive, and simplified offering. This initiative marks the beginning of a multi-year and multi-track investment, setting the stage for future products that will be layered on over time. The Product Owner will be at the forefront of simplifying and modernizing Traveler's supporting platforms by leveraging industry capabilities such as Cloud and Guidewire, as well as emerging business patterns. In this role, the Agile Product Owner will define, prioritize, and ensure a ready backlog of work for the product team, accepting final product output while focusing on the achievement of defined outcomes. They will effectively manage a backlog of deliverables and capabilities, engaging in 'test and learn' experimentation to refine future deliverables, measure performance, and adjust the overall roadmap as necessary. The Product Owner will also articulate team goals and strategy to key stakeholders, ensuring alignment with the circle and value stream vision. They will act as the voice of the end-user, responding to customer feedback and ensuring that team outputs meet defined acceptance criteria. Additionally, the Agile Product Owner will own the team backlog, making trade-off decisions to maximize value, optimize the flow of value by setting objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs), and inform business readiness by understanding the impact of change. They will provide feedback on work-in-progress, clarify requirements, and contribute to removing roadblocks or impediments while seeking opportunities for continuous team and process improvement. The role also involves partnering with Circle Leads and peers to communicate resource requirements effectively and sharing best practices across teams to ensure alignment and consistency in working methods within a value stream. The Agile Product Owner will foster an innovative, inclusive, and diverse team environment, promoting a positive team culture and encouraging collaboration and self-organization.
