About the position

Wells Fargo is seeking an Agile Product Owner (Senior Lead Product Manager) to join the Investment Solutions Agile Transformation product team. This role is pivotal in driving key initiatives that support our Advisory Strategies, including Private Investment Management (PIM) and Alternative Investments within the Personalized - Unified Managed Accounts (UMA) programs. As an Agile Product Owner, you will be responsible for articulating the product vision, defining the scope, prioritizing the backlog, establishing goals, and providing direction for teams to design, develop, and deliver technology and processes that enhance our offerings and vendor relationships. In this capacity, you will develop and influence business plans and requirements, directing product design and implementation to meet complex business and technical needs. Engaging with business leaders, stakeholders, project and product managers, and technology partners will be essential to ensure the successful delivery of key initiatives. You will lead a group of Agile teams, providing product direction, resolving issues, and guiding product managers through the product lifecycle. Your responsibilities will also include defining project objectives, key results, and outcomes, as well as tracking and monitoring these results. You will partner with technology teams daily to refine requirements, clarify features, and oversee daily scrum meetings. Additionally, you will lead quarterly planning and strategy sessions, defining the roadmap for the upcoming quarters and overseeing the overall product management and strategic focus for our most technical, complex, and diverse products and services.

Responsibilities

  • Articulate product vision, define scope, prioritize backlog, establish goals, and provide direction for teams to design, develop, and deliver technology and processes.
  • Develop and influence business plans, business requirements, direct product design and implementation for complex business and technical needs.
  • Engage with business leaders, stakeholders, project and product managers, and Technology partners to ensure the successful delivery of key initiatives.
  • Lead a group of Agile teams, providing product direction, issue resolution, and guidance to product managers.
  • Define project objectives, key results, and outcomes, as well as tracking and monitoring results.
  • Partner with Technology teams daily to refine requirements, clarify features, and oversee daily scrum meetings.
  • Lead quarterly planning and strategy sessions, defining the roadmap for the next quarter and next six quarters.
  • Oversee overall product management and strategic focus for the most technical, complex, and diverse products and services.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of Product Management, product development, strategic planning, process management, change delivery, or agile product owner experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
  • 4 Years of Wealth Management, or Brokerage experience, preferably investment related.
  • 4+ years of experience developing process, or system improvements.
  • 3+ years of experience in one or combination of the following functional areas: unified management accounts (UMA), Separately Managed Accounts (SMA), investment planning; system due diligence; investment analytics; performance reporting; equity management; fixed income management; alternative asset management; risk management and compliance; trading; data integration/analytics, business analysis.
  • Knowledge of SEI Trust 3000, Fiserv/Tegra118/InvestCloud, Planning tools, Performance Measurement tools, FactSet, SEI, BetaNXT, Bloomberg, Portfolio Management/Trading Platforms, and/or SQL.
  • Agile Experience (such as user story & feature writing experience / client discovery experience).
  • Experience gathering and documenting business requirements which may include workflows, journey maps, or business processes.
  • Experience articulating and capturing requisite data needed to determine measurable business impact (in the form of OKRs/KPIs) for the business area.
  • Advisory business, product or platform experience.
  • Product/application testing experience.
  • Good communication skills.
