About the position

Evernorth Accountable Care is a new business initiative focused on partnering with healthcare providers to establish value-based care relationships, ultimately improving patient care and reducing overall healthcare costs. The Agile Product Owner will play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of network management applications that support the long-term growth of this business. This individual will serve as a vital link between business stakeholders and technology teams, setting clear business objectives, communicating capability requirements, and prioritizing enhancements effectively. The Agile Product Owner will also be responsible for identifying opportunities for process improvements, establishing deadlines, aligning responsibilities, and monitoring progress against set goals. In this role, the Agile Product Owner will act as the primary business liaison for scrum teams, ensuring that business intent and application usability are met. Key responsibilities include defining features and user stories with clear acceptance criteria that can be effectively worked on by technology teams, facilitating refinement sessions, and leading or participating in agile ceremonies. The individual will collaborate cross-functionally with other product owners to ensure alignment of ART level priorities and will work closely with the product manager on program-level priorities and objectives. Additionally, the role involves developing and implementing processes for effective implementation and integration, creating standard operating procedures, and transitioning capabilities into a business-as-usual environment. Essential functions of the position include translating business and user objectives into detailed requirements and acceptance criteria, collaborating in an Agile environment to communicate business requirements, maintaining a healthy backlog of work, documenting application roadmaps, facilitating ideation and strategy sessions, and testing application features in both QA and Production environments to ensure accuracy and defect-free content.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary business liaison for scrum teams to support business intent and application usability.
  • Ensure features and user stories are well defined with clear acceptance criteria for technology teams.
  • Facilitate refinement sessions and set direction regarding prioritization of work.
  • Lead and/or participate in agile ceremonies.
  • Collaborate with other product owners to ensure ART level priorities are aligned.
  • Work with the product manager on program-level priorities and objectives.
  • Develop and implement processes for effective implementation and integration.
  • Create standard operating procedures and transition capabilities into a business-as-usual environment.
  • Translate business and user objectives into requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Document and maintain application roadmaps to manage expectations internally and externally.
  • Participate in and facilitate ideation and strategy sessions to identify features that enhance business usability.
  • Test application features in QA and Production environments to verify accuracy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field strongly preferred; Master's Degree ideal.
  • Experience within the healthcare sector is required.
  • At least 1 year of working knowledge of agile methodology and experience interfacing with technology teams in an agile environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of programs like Jira, Jira Align, Confluence & SharePoint.
  • Experience managing or optimizing digital products or websites is preferred.
  • Proven ability to develop strong working relationships and establish credibility across functional lines.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to sustain momentum under challenging circumstances while working with stakeholders and delivery teams.
  • Demonstrates strong decision-making skills and problem-solving techniques.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Ability to predict challenges and proactively address obstacles.
  • Technically deep and business savvy enough to interface with cross-functional partners.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
