About the position

The Agile Product Owner is responsible for maximizing the value delivered by the team through the Salesforce Financial Services cloud platform. This role involves guiding and influencing a team to prioritize and build digital products and solutions, ensuring alignment with customer and stakeholder needs. The Product Owner manages the team backlog, communicates effectively with various audiences, and drives value through technology solutions while focusing on achieving Objective and Key Results (OKRs).

Responsibilities

• Has end-to-end ownership of the entire value chain from ideation to lifecycle management.
• Makes data-driven decisions based on key performance indicators, user feedback, and market research to optimize product features and drive continuous improvement.
• Decides what work gets prioritized in the backlog, what work gets declined, and what work is moved forward.
• Builds requirements when work items get prioritized and oversees the team's activities to develop/test/implement the item once prioritized for a sprint.
• Uses OKRs as a cornerstone for team focus and manages the agile team's product backlog, prioritizing based on changing requirements.
• Defines Minimal Viable Products and strategically de-scopes to achieve goals.
• Plays a key role in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives, and participates in scrum meetings.
• Translates business requirements into clear and detailed user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Works closely with agile team members to define and drive product vision and distill a product roadmap.
• Sets goals for the aligned team around productivity, effectiveness, quality, and speed of the delivery team.
• Responsible for stakeholder communication and alignment, managing expectations with business sponsors and executives.
• Monitors industry trends, competitive landscape, and existing product or process pain points to refine the product portfolio.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business and Technology.
• Previous Salesforce platform experience.
• 2 or more years of agile/DevSecOps experience.
• 5 or more years of demonstrated experience in influencing and engaging employees across all levels of the organization.
• 5 or more years of experience successfully leading a team, with or without direct reporting relationships.
• 5 or more years of experience presenting ideas and discussions with confidence to various audiences, effectively engaging senior leaders and stakeholders.
• 5 or more years of experience enabling business capability and objectives through technology.

Nice-to-haves

• 5 or more years of financial institution experience.
• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or related certification.
