About the position

The Agile Project Manager II at Mouser Electronics is responsible for planning, tracking, and leading project management functions for assigned IS projects using Scrum, Kanban, or Waterfall methodologies. This role involves acting as a Scrum Master for multiple teams, fostering an environment of transparency and respect, and ensuring the overall progress of projects while developing relationships that support agility.

Responsibilities

• Coaches and mentors all team members on Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall principles and best practices, promoting continual education.
• Promotes an environment of transparency and respect, providing a foundation for building a self-organizing, high-performing team.
• Facilitates cross-functional interactions between project teams, managing cross-team dependencies.
• Works with Product Owners to maintain a quality product backlog with well-defined backlog items.
• Increases team efficiency by encouraging out-of-the-box thinking and consistent improvement.
• Ensures the team is fully aware of all relevant information needed to be productive.
• Tracks and removes impediments impacting the team and safeguards them from outside distractions.
• Generates performance metrics for the team and ensures availability to the organization.
• Schedules and facilitates project meetings as needed, such as Sprint Planning and Daily Stand Ups.
• Provides regular support to developers, business analysts, IS leadership, and company staff.

Requirements

• At least 2-4 years of Waterfall project management experience required.
• At least 2-4 years of Scrum Master experience required.
• Strong ability to coach and mentor team members on Scrum, Kanban, and Waterfall principles.
• Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, and Lean).
• Ability to predict risks and impediments and neutralize them quickly.
• Ability to analyze problematic scenarios and propose feasible solutions.
• Experience with project management and agile tools (e.g., Project Online, Jira, Confluence).
