About the position
The Agile Project Manager / Scrum Master role is a remote position focused on leading and coaching teams in agile methodologies, particularly within the context of cloud data platforms and marketing analytics. The position requires a strong background in project management and scrum practices, with an emphasis on effective communication, risk management, and stakeholder engagement. The ideal candidate will have experience in the retail industry and be capable of managing complex IT projects while ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
Responsibilities
- Keep stakeholders informed of progress towards goals and negotiate adjustments to schedules and resources.
- Function as the central point for all project communications.
- Leverage effective communication methods based on situation and urgency.
- Develop and deliver presentation content to drive understanding and alignment across teams and project sponsors.
- Identify and analyze project risks to determine potential risk exposure.
- Focus on resolution of issues and risks using appropriate levels of escalation.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master and Project Manager.
- Strong hands-on project management skills managing complex IT efforts.
- Experience managing large teams with members in multiple locations.
- Ability to structure work into various workstreams within large projects.
- Proficient in PM and Scrum tools/techniques such as planning, risk management, budgeting, and Jira management.
- Experience with vendor contracts and vendor management.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to represent work at all organizational levels.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Cloud Data Platforms in support of Marketing and Customer Analytics in an omni-channel retail environment.
- Familiarity with tools such as WorkOtter, Jira, Point, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Understanding of business process transformation and change management practices.
