About the position

Tusk Software is seeking a Project Manager/Scrum Master to lead technical teams in a hybrid work environment. The role involves managing multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery, and fostering an Agile culture within the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to identify and resolve blockers effectively.

Responsibilities

• Manage a technical team in an Agile environment.
• Proactively identify and execute opportunities for process improvement.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously and ensure timely delivery.
• Estimate and budget projects with team assistance.
• Define internal and external project roadmaps, timelines, and milestones.
• Conduct capacity planning for projects.
• Interface directly with customers to gather requirements and provide updates.
• Write user stories and acceptance criteria for development teams.
• Assist product owners and stakeholders in prioritizing the backlog.
• Write release notes and manage software releases.
• Utilize project management platforms effectively, preferably JIRA.

Requirements

• Experience managing a technical team.
• Ability to work in an Agile environment.
• Proficiency in project management platforms such as JIRA, VersionOne, etc.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to identify, escalate, and resolve blockers.
• Experience in estimating and budgeting projects.
• Capacity planning experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Technical/development background highly preferred.
• JIRA administration experience.
• Experience with multiple project management platforms.
• BA and/or requirements gathering experience.
• Strong background with analytics and/or reporting tools.
• Experience with data/reporting tools like Data Studio, Tableau, Power BI.
