About the position

The Agile Project Manager/Scrum Master will play a crucial role in supporting GDIT's Center for Medicare and Medicaid contracts, focusing on the delivery of Medicare Transaction Facilitator (MTF) services. This position involves leading a Scrum Team, managing timelines, resolving issues, and coaching team members to achieve collective goals while adhering to Agile methodologies. The role requires collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and successful project execution.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of teams within the Scaled Agile Release Train (ART).
  • Organize and facilitate team workshops, Agile ceremonies, and discovery activities.
  • Work with program leadership and stakeholders to prioritize work for each sprint.
  • Monitor delivery progress, identify risks, and proactively address issues.
  • Determine and remove impediments that interfere with the team's ability to deliver goals.
  • Coach a continuous improvement mindset and recommend adjustments to delivery practices.
  • Facilitate communication among the team and the Agile Release Train.
  • Utilize tools like JIRA and Confluence to manage Agile data and metrics.
  • Assist the Scrum team in developing and estimating user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
  • Prepare and present status reports and metrics to senior management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field, engineering, or a related scientific or technical discipline.
  • Active Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Lean Agile Institute Certified Scrum Master (LAI-SM), SAFe Scrum Master, or SAFe Advanced Scrum Master certification.
  • 6+ years of related professional experience.
  • 3+ years managing a project and leading a team towards collective goals.
  • 3+ years' experience in various Agile approaches (Lean, SAFe, Scrum/LeSS, Kanban).

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, React, Snowflake.
  • Experience with Health and Human Services, Veterans Affairs, and/or Military Health.
  • Active CMS access including assigned CAG and PIV.
