About the position

The Agile Project Manager is responsible for leading cross-functional product development teams, projects, and programs, fostering a collaborative environment that delivers exceptional value to our customers. This role is pivotal in championing Agile methodologies within assigned teams, adapting to the most effective approach for each project, whether it be Scrum, Kanban, or other frameworks. The Agile Project Manager will facilitate Agile ceremonies such as Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, and Sprint Reviews, while also coaching and mentoring team members to foster a culture of continuous improvement. In addition to Agile leadership, the Agile Project Manager will engage in project and program management by collaborating with stakeholders to define project goals, user needs, and success metrics. This includes breaking down projects into actionable tasks, developing roadmaps, and managing project timelines, budgets, and resources. Proactive identification and mitigation of risks are essential to ensure that project deliverables are met on time and within budget. The Agile Project Manager will track project progress, identify roadblocks, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track. The role also emphasizes delivery and value focus, partnering with Product Owners to maintain a clear and prioritized product roadmap. The Agile Project Manager is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of features that consistently exceed customer expectations. Utilizing business analytics to measure project success and identify opportunities for improvement is a key aspect of this position. Effective communication of project status to all stakeholders, including development teams, clients, and executives, is crucial. Responsibilities

  • Champion Agile methodologies within assigned teams, adapting to the most effective approach for each project (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, and Sprint Reviews.
  • Coach and mentor team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Agile Project Manager, Scrum Master, or similar role (2+ years).
  • In-depth understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall, XP, Six Sigma, LESS).
  • Proficient understanding of software development practices and quality assurance.
  • Strong project management skills with a focus on delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively at all levels.
  • Servant leadership qualities with a focus on team development and empowerment.
  • Experience leading and motivating cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data to make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (Azure Dev Ops, Jira, Asana, etc.) is a plus.
  • Experience in the insurance industry is a plus.
