About the position

The Agile Project Manager (APM) is a leadership role focused on guiding software development teams within ISO Technology towards high performance and quality delivery. The APM is responsible for planning, organizing, executing, and coaching agile teams, ensuring the application of agile and scrum principles in a fast-paced technology environment. This position can be based in Holmdel or Jersey City, NJ, with a preference for Holmdel, and supports flexible hybrid work models.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as project leader for agile teams across the Technology organization, coordinating and executing value delivery of various initiatives.
  • Manage planning, estimation, and delivery of software and technology projects, ensuring alignment with ISO Technology PMO practices.
  • Drive technology initiative planning, tracking key milestones, and ensuring effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with product owners to maintain a healthy product backlog and ensure shared understanding of deliverables.
  • Lead software release planning, ensuring smooth execution of UAT and production deployments.
  • Manage project risks and track resolutions to critical issues, escalating when necessary.
  • Implement organizational standards, tools, and best practices for project reporting and team budgeting.
  • Collaborate with project and portfolio management colleagues to manage timelines, risks, and issues across the organization.
  • Create an environment that encourages team growth and continuous improvement, coaching teams on agile values and principles.
  • Perform the role of scrum master, ensuring teams leverage scrum roles, ceremonies, and artifacts effectively.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience as a Project Manager and/or ScrumMaster in agile and traditional software development life cycle models.
  • 3+ years of IT/technical experience across various roles.
  • Proficient knowledge of Agile project management practices and frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong organizational skills and critical thinking abilities.
  • Experience managing large complex projects and engaging collaboratively in project teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with basic software development technologies and tools.
  • Experience with Agile Project Management tools such as Jira.
  • Ability to negotiate with diverse stakeholders.
