About the position

The Agile SAFe Senior Portfolio Analyst plays a crucial role in aligning strategy and execution within the Property & Casualty Commercial Strategy and Lean Portfolio Management Division. This position focuses on applying Lean and systems thinking approaches to manage investment funding, Agile portfolio operations, and governance. The analyst will support the prioritization of work, ensure financial accountability for products and solutions, and coordinate efforts to sustain and improve value streams while planning and monitoring IT budgets.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with Financial Operations including department financials, outlook locks, op planning, monthly reserving, capitalization, and financial reporting.
  • Manage vendor relationships, including contracts, Purchase Orders, and invoice approvals.
  • Partner with the Director of Portfolio Lead to evolve Agile funding value streams and promote a product vs. project mindset.
  • Develop and maintain a workforce strategy considering employee and vendor ratios, onshore and offshore balance.
  • Support data capture, metrics, measurement, and projections around workforce composition.
  • Coordinate training and continuous learning activities for the team.
  • Contribute to identifying and defining development value streams across the portfolio.
  • Partner with the Director Portfolio Lead to ensure phase gate deliverables are complete and establish a transparent investment prioritization process.
  • Support the establishment of portfolio flow to visualize and limit Work in Process (WIP) and reduce batch sizes of work.
  • Assist in maintaining an overall CIO portfolio view and prepare for portfolio health reviews and scorecards.
  • Report key portfolio metrics such as employee engagement, customer satisfaction, productivity, agility, time to market, and quality.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, adopting Agile and DevOps mindsets.
  • Ensure compliance with audit and regulatory requirements and support Rally data management.

Requirements

  • 3 years of portfolio management experience or equivalent experience (Scrum Master, RTE, Agile Coach, etc.).
  • 2+ years of experience with Agile methodology and frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, etc.
  • Established understanding of Agile and Scaled Agile.
  • 3 years of related industry experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of software development processes and procedures.

Nice-to-haves

  • SAFe LPM certification is a plus.
