About the position

The Agile Scrum Master/Jira Support Lead is a pivotal role within the BEST Program, responsible for facilitating agile practices and managing JIRA configurations to enhance project delivery. This position involves collaborating with various teams to groom user stories, track sprint progress, and remove blockers, ensuring alignment with program leadership expectations. The role also includes providing guidance on agile methodologies and supporting the transition from traditional waterfall approaches to agile practices.

Responsibilities

  • Support agile based tasks and activities assigned to the BEST Functional team lead and functional team.
  • Coordinate CMW and CGI JIRA based reporting to develop consolidated dashboards for functional work stream execution.
  • Review functional configuration and development progress with CGI, including backlog grooming and PI planning.
  • Manage RAID items associated with functional configuration and coordinate user story reviews for test case development.
  • Groom user stories to ensure they clearly describe CMW requirements and necessary elements for configuration decisions.
  • Align and communicate with non-functional infrastructure teams on functional needs and issues from sprints.
  • Provide agile methodology guidance and organizational transformational assistance to BEST team members.
  • Manage mini projects/stories to ensure functional needs are defined, communicated, configured, tested, and supported by training tools.
  • Recommend training on Agile methodology and JIRA for CMW PMO team and other traditional development business users.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated and extensive experience as a JIRA expert, responsible for all aspects of JIRA configuration and management.
  • Certified scrum master with experience in preparing user stories, managing sprints, and reporting on sprint metrics.
  • Experience in managing Kanban Board, dashboards, metrics, and providing analysis of Project Scope/Burndown.
  • Project Manager with experience in large complex operational environments.
  • Exposure to technical configurations and processing environments in projects of similar size and complexity.
  • Experience with system agile CI/CD implementation approaches for continuous change/improvement processes.
  • Experience in implementation of SaaS solutions with integration with on-prem components.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field with 3-5 years of experience in testing, project management, or change management coordination.
