The Agile Scrum Master/Kanban FlowMaster position at DHHS ITD in Durham, North Carolina, is a hybrid role that requires an experienced professional to work within various agile frameworks, including Scrum and Kanban, while supporting the organization's vision to transition towards the SAFe framework. The individual in this role will serve as a coach and advisor to both teams and leadership, guiding them on the desired Scrum processes, procedures, values, and interactions, as well as identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. The Scrum Master or Kanban Flow Master will strive to enable teams to become self-organizing, cross-functional, and accountable, assisting them in achieving their Sprint plans by facilitating Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe events, removing impediments, and resolving issues that are outside the team's control. In addition to coaching, the resource will lead the planning and execution of development and delivery efforts for one or more products, ensuring high standards are met. The ideal candidate must be coachable and adept at collaborating with Product Owners, Scrum/Flow Masters, Developers, and Stakeholders. This role will also involve executing and adhering to the Agile transformation strategies laid out by the Agile Transformation Coach and transformation team, fostering an understanding of Agile principles that drive customer and business value while cultivating a healthy Agile team culture. The Scrum Master/Kanban Flow Master will be responsible for managing and assisting with requirements gathering, design, development, and implementation of the Cram/Java web-based software application on n-tier infrastructure, interfacing with various internal and external applications across multiple platforms. Utilizing Agile principles, the individual will work closely with Product Owners and project teams to resolve backlog items, ensuring that deliverables meet requirements, are effective solutions, and are delivered with quality. This position plays a crucial role in resolving business and team conflicts, actively engaging in technical matters, identifying gaps, and ensuring Product Owner involvement in business decisions and the description of business flows. The role requires a high level of expertise in understanding and estimating work effort, collaborating to refine prioritized backlogs, and facilitating Scrum ceremonies or Kanban events, along with other aspects of Agile methodology.
