About the position

The Agile Scrum Master Specialist at CNA plays a crucial role in guiding and supporting Agile Scrum teams in delivering IT and business solutions. This position involves facilitating Scrum ceremonies, resolving delivery impediments, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The Scrum Master will work closely with the Product Owner and team members to ensure adherence to Agile principles and practices, ultimately driving successful product delivery.

Responsibilities

• Serve, lead, coach, and support one or more Agile Scrum teams on various initiatives.
• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies and agile practices, ensuring adherence to Scrum values.
• Identify and resolve delivery impediments to optimize delivery flow.
• Manage risks and issues to prevent recurrence.
• Foster an environment of continuous improvement and learning.
• Guide team members in achieving maturity in Agile principles and Scrum practices.
• Monitor and assess team health and project needs proactively.
• Support the Product Owner in managing the backlog and prioritization.
• Build strong relationships within the Agile team and with stakeholders.
• Facilitate conflict resolution within the team and escalate serious conflicts to leadership.
• Promote practices that ensure the delivery of quality products.

Requirements

• Prior experience with Agile Scrum methodology in a Scrum Master role.
• Solid experience acting as a servant-leader with strong coaching and mentoring skills.
• Experience on teams delivering modern software for enterprises using Agile methodologies.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
• Solid personal organizational skills and experience using Agile management tools such as Jira.
• Awareness of development best practices such as DevOps automation and CI/CD pipelines.

Nice-to-haves

• Scrum Master Certification (CSM) preferred.
• Previous project management experience preferred.
• Applicable certifications preferred.
