About the position

Genesis10 is seeking an Agile Scrum Master for a contract position in the financial industry, located in Charlotte, NC and Plano, TX. The role involves facilitating Scrum ceremonies, optimizing team performance, and coaching teams on Agile principles to enhance collaboration and value delivery. The Scrum Master will work closely with Product Owners and development teams to ensure effective communication and continuous improvement within the Agile framework.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy secure multi-patented data sharing technologies between all lines of business and external entities.
• Optimize the flow of stories and the value delivered by one or more Scrum teams.
• Coordinate and facilitate Scrum ceremonies, managing dependencies for the team, and providing visibility into team delivery plans and progress.
• Ensure impediments are resolved quickly and maintain a good relationship between the Product Owner and the development team.
• Act as an Agile Coach, promoting and coaching the Agile mindset and principles, empowering the team to be self-managing.
• Guide and coach one or more teams on Scrum practices and develop their understanding of Agile principles.
• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Demos/Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives.
• In a Scaled Agile model, facilitate scaled planning for the team and represent the team in Scrum of Scrums/ART Syncs.
• Define norms/agreements like Definition of Ready and Definition of Done, and enforce these agreements.
• Ensure the team has a healthy product and Sprint backlog in collaboration with the Product Owner.
• Facilitate dependency management, risk management, and impediment removal for the team.
• Promote communication and collaboration within the Agile team to support value delivery and commitments.
• Provide visibility into the Agile team's delivery plans and progress against the plan to stakeholders.

Requirements

• 2+ years experience as a Scrum Master.
• Experience with Agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, and team accountability.
• Experience with implementation and release management activities.
• Good analytic skills, flexibility, and the ability to adapt to emerging technologies and tools.
• Experience with Agile tools (Jira) and (Bitbucket).

Nice-to-haves

• 1+ year experience with JIRA (Jira Administrator is beneficial).
• Certified Agile Scrum Master (SAFe).
• Ability to enable the team to be high performing through collaboration and a focus on continuous improvement.
• Experience measuring team delivery, maturity, and performance and reviewing metrics with the team to identify improvement opportunities.
