About the position

The Agile Scrum Master at Kforce Inc. is responsible for facilitating agile practices within the squad, collaborating with product partners and chapter leaders to enhance performance and efficiency. This role involves coaching teams, managing agile events, and ensuring transparency through performance metrics, all while supporting the adoption of agile tools and methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with Workplace Investing product partners and chapter leaders to enable delivery of the squad's mission through well-executed sprints.
  • Accelerate overall squad performance, efficiency, and value delivered by engaging within and across squads to find opportunities to improve agile maturity and metrics.
  • Maintain and update squad performance metrics (e.g., burn-down charts) and artifacts to ensure accurate feedback and transparency.
  • Manage and coordinate agile events such as backlog prioritization, sprint planning, daily meetings, and retrospectives.
  • Support the adoption and consistent use of enabling tools (e.g., Jira, Mural, MS Teams).
  • Organize and present ideas and information logically to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborate closely with the squad leader to plan and execute on the highest priority work as per the product roadmap.
  • Manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Coach and mentor complex squads, regardless of size.
  • Participate in a community of practice and provide scrum knowledge to members of the product area.

Requirements

  • Experience in a technical role prior to obtaining your CSM; Systems Analyst is preferred.
  • Proven change agent capable of coaching agile practices to teams and individuals from distinct functions and geographies.
  • Effective facilitator who can brainstorm with the team to generate solutions to challenges and roadblocks.
  • Intellectually curious and enthusiastic about learning new skills, modeling a culture of continuous learning, mentoring, and coaching.
