About the position

Genesis10 is currently seeking an Agile Scrum Master with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC, Pennington, NJ, and Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract position. The Agile Scrum Master will play a crucial role in guiding and coaching the team on Scrum practices, facilitating Scrum ceremonies, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-complexity projects across multiple departments within a single business unit. The Scrum Master will be responsible for the end-to-end management and delivery of material changes, facilitating the Agile methodology and activities, and managing the work efforts of resources that are functionally aligned as part of the project team. In this role, the Scrum Master will oversee the integration of various work streams to deliver the intended project solution, manage project scope, and lead daily SCRUM meetings. They will partner with the product owner to guide the team, remove impediments to delivery, and maintain a keen focus on the activities and progress of the Agile project team. The Scrum Master will also be responsible for timeline and budget management, obtaining and aligning resources to key project roles, and establishing clearly defined responsibilities and accountabilities. Additionally, they will oversee project execution, integration, and implementation, while also engaging in risk management and mitigation planning, readiness/change adoption, and stakeholder management. Quality assurance will be a key focus, ensuring that all applicable change requirements are satisfied. The Scrum Master will act as the primary point of contact and integration for the project.

Responsibilities

  • Guide and coach team on Scrum Practices

  • Manage Project Scope
  • Leads the daily SCRUM meetings of the Agile project team and partners with the product owner to lead the team
  • Removes impediments to the ability of the team to deliver and is keenly focused on the activities and progress of the Agile project team
  • Timeline and budget/expenses; obtain and align resources to key project roles; establish clearly defined responsibilities and accountabilities
  • Oversight/Manage/Lead project execution, integration and implementation
