About the position

The Agile Scrum Master will guide the team in adhering to Agile values and principles, applying appropriate frameworks and techniques to foster a self-organizing environment. This role involves coaching the team and organization in Agile theory, supporting Product Owners in managing the product backlog, and ensuring effective communication and transparency regarding team activities. The Scrum Master will also focus on optimizing change across technology platforms and driving quality throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Guide the team to follow Agile values and principles.
• Teach and coach the team and organization in Agile theory and software engineering techniques.
• Support and educate Product Owners in refining and maintaining the product backlog.
• Ensure effective internal and external communication, improving transparency and radiating information on team activities.
• Collect and communicate necessary metrics and propose new ones for continuous improvement.
• Optimize integrated change across assigned technology platforms.
• Ensure quality is driven into all aspects of the delivery lifecycle and defects are addressed early.
• Perform gap analysis of technology platform capabilities and develop a roadmap for improvement.
• Support value stream mapping carried out by Agile Delivery Lead.

Requirements

• Solid understanding of Agile values and principles.
• Good knowledge of a range of Agile frameworks.
• Insurance business knowledge.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to inspire change.
• Knowledge of Agile techniques and software development processes such as Test Automation, Continuous Integration, DevOps, and Extreme Programming (XP).
• Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and explore new ideas.
• Preferred knowledge in Insurance/Finance domain and Data Domain (Guidewire, Informatica, Master Data Management).
• Professional Certification (minimum PSM1/CSM or equivalent).
