About the position

Genesis10 is currently seeking an Agile Scrum Master with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC, Plano, TX, and Pennington, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract position. The Agile Scrum Master will be responsible for the end-to-end management and delivery of programs of high complexity across multiple departments within a single business unit. This role involves facilitating Agile Scrum Master and Waterfall service deliveries, leading and directing the program efforts that are functionally aligned. The Scrum Master will also be responsible for the end-to-end integration of various projects under these initiatives to deliver a holistic program of projects. In this position, the Agile Scrum Master will manage a portfolio of programs, leading and managing program efforts including regular updates, tracking, escalations, and other program management-related tasks. The Scrum Master will work to remove impediments to the team's ability to deliver and will be keenly focused on the activities and progress of the service delivery team. Additionally, the role includes executing PMO-related tasks for program standards and governance to ensure that policies and best practices are followed throughout the portfolio of programs. The Scrum Master will also be responsible for timeline and budget management, obtaining and aligning resources to key project roles, establishing clearly defined responsibilities and accountabilities, and overseeing project execution, integration, and implementation. Risk management and mitigation planning, readiness/change adoption, stakeholder management, and quality assurance are also key responsibilities. The Scrum Master acts as the primary point of contact for the program, ensuring that all applicable change requirements are satisfied and that the program is delivered successfully.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for end-to-end management and delivery for programs of high complexity across multiple departments within a single business unit
  • Facilitates Agile Scrum Master and Waterfall service deliveries, leads and directs the Program efforts that are functionally aligned
  • Responsible for the end-to-end integration of various projects under these initiatives in order to deliver the holistic program of projects
  • Manages Portfolio of Programs
  • Leads and manages program efforts including regular updates, tracking, escalations and other program management related tasks
  • Removes impediments to the ability of the team to deliver and is keenly focused on the activities and progress of the service delivery team
  • Executes PMO related tasks for Program standards and governance to ensure policies and best practices are followed through the portfolio of programs
  • Timeline and budget/expenses management
  • Obtain and align resources to key project roles; establish clearly defined responsibilities and accountabilities
  • Oversight/Manage/Lead project execution, integration and implementation
  • Risk Management and Mitigation Planning
  • Readiness/Change Adoption/Stakeholder Management
  • Quality Assurance, ensure that all applicable change requirements are satisfied
  • Acts as the primary point of contact for the program

Requirements

  • Knowledge and experience of program managing large-scale complex programs
  • Reporting and tracking expertise
  • Strong/Senior Program Management skills
  • PMO Certified with PMO experience
  • Agile Scrum Master skills
  • Waterfall Delivery Methods
  • MS Project, MS Excel, and MS Power Point proficiency
  • Educational background and experience in program management, business management or associated area
  • Ability to work with others and communicate at all levels including from project up to SLT/Executives
  • Ability to manage the successful execution of programs tracking multiple project teams
  • A proven track record in a similar role
  • Good interpersonal skills; positive attitude; team player; flexible
  • Able to face off to business and technology leaders
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to lead meetings, follow-up, negotiate and resolve ambiguity
  • Keen attention to detail and strong sense of ownership and accountability for work
  • Motivated to work closely and cooperatively with other team members of varying levels of seniority and experience
  • A self-starter and ability to work with little to no supervision
