Fidelity TalentSource is currently seeking a Scrum Master to join the Workplace Investing (WI) business unit at Fidelity Investments. This role is designed for individuals who possess a deep understanding of Scrum methodologies and have a passion for mentoring and coaching teams towards continuous improvement. As a Scrum Master, you will be an integral part of a collaborative squad, where your primary responsibilities will include advising, mentoring, and coaching team members on agile values, practices, and processes to enhance the delivery of squad value. You will work closely with the squad leader to maintain a backlog, facilitate agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives, and help remove any impediments that may hinder the team's progress. In addition to these responsibilities, you will coordinate release management and participate in scaling ceremonies, managing interdependencies across various squads and product areas. Your role will also involve analyzing team performance through metrics and identifying opportunities for the squad to fully leverage the benefits of an agile framework. You will engage with all team members and product area leadership to reinforce and embed agile principles into daily operations. This position often requires you to coordinate efforts across multiple systems teams to deliver integrated solutions to customers, working collaboratively with Workplace Investing product partners and chapter leaders to ensure the successful execution of the squad's mission through well-executed sprints. As a Scrum Master, you will be responsible for accelerating overall squad performance and efficiency by engaging with both internal and external squads to identify opportunities for improving agile maturity and metrics. You will provide coaching, training, and resources to support the squad's development. Additionally, you will maintain and update squad performance metrics, such as burn-down charts, to ensure clear feedback and transparency for squad members and other stakeholders. Your role will also involve managing and coordinating agile events, supporting the consistent use of enabling tools like Jira, Mural, and MS Teams, and presenting ideas and information logically to diverse audiences, including both technical and non-technical individuals. You will collaborate closely with the squad leader to prioritize work according to the product roadmap and manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously. Furthermore, you will participate in a community of practice, sharing scrum knowledge and identifying continuous improvement opportunities within the product area.
