About the position

The Agile Scrum Master will work collaboratively with Workplace Investing product partners and chapter leaders to facilitate the delivery of the squad's mission through effective sprint execution. This role focuses on enhancing squad performance, efficiency, and value delivery by coaching teams, maintaining performance metrics, and managing agile events.

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with Workplace Investing product partners and chapter leaders to enable delivery of the squad's mission through well-executed sprints.
  • Accelerate overall squad performance, efficiency, and value delivered by engaging within and across squads to find opportunities to improve agile maturity and metrics.
  • Maintain and update squad performance metrics (e.g., burn-down charts) and artifacts to ensure accurate and clear feedback to squad members and transparency to other partners.
  • Manage, coordinate, and participate in agile events (e.g., backlog prioritization, sprint planning, daily meetings, retrospectives, and scrum of scrum masters).
  • Support adoption and consistent use of enabling tools (e.g., Jira, Mural, MS Teams).
  • Organize and present ideas and information logically and concisely to a variety of audiences, including both technical and non-technical individuals.
  • Collaborate closely with the squad leader to plan and execute on the highest priority work as per the product roadmap.
  • Manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Coach and mentor complex squads, regardless of size.
  • Participate in a community of practice and provide scrum knowledge to members of your product area, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Experience in a technical role prior to obtaining your CSM; Systems Analyst is preferred.
  • A proven change agent capable of coaching agile practices to teams and individuals from across distinct functions, experiences, and geographies.
  • An effective facilitator who can brainstorm with the team to generate solutions that address challenges and roadblocks to accelerating value delivery.
  • Intellectually curious and enthusiastic about learning new skills, modeling a culture of continuous learning, mentoring, and coaching.
