About the position
The Scrum Master role at Fidelity TalentSource involves leading and coaching agile teams within the Workplace Investing business unit. This position focuses on enhancing team performance through agile practices, facilitating ceremonies, and managing backlogs while ensuring effective collaboration across squads. The Scrum Master will also be responsible for release management coordination and driving continuous improvement in agile maturity.
Responsibilities
- Advise, mentor, coach, and train teams on agile values, practices, and processes.
- Facilitate agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
- Maintain and manage the backlog and help remove impediments for the squad.
- Coordinate release management and participate in scaling ceremonies.
- Examine and drive team performance through metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Engage with team members and product area leadership to reinforce agile principles in daily work.
- Collaborate with Workplace Investing product partners to enable delivery of the squad's mission.
- Maintain and update squad performance metrics and artifacts for transparency.
- Manage and coordinate agile events and support the adoption of enabling tools like Jira and MS Teams.
- Organize and present ideas logically to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Scrum Master with deep knowledge of agile methodologies.
- Strong facilitation skills and ability to coach teams through challenges.
- Experience in managing multiple competing priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to collaborate closely with product partners and chapter leaders.
- Strong communication skills to present ideas clearly to diverse audiences.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with agile tools such as Jira, Mural, and MS Teams.
- Background in financial services or technology sectors.
- Knowledge of metrics and performance tracking in agile environments.
