About the position

Genesis10 is seeking an Agile Scrum Master for a 12+ month contract position in the financial industry. The role involves facilitating Scrum routines, managing project deliverables, and ensuring effective communication among team members and stakeholders. The Scrum Master will work closely with the Agile team to remove impediments and execute on Enterprise Change Management requirements, while also managing governance routines and project plans.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate Scrum routines and correspond with management as needed.
• Execute on Enterprise Change Management requirements.
• Work with the Agile team to remove impediments.
• Proficiently use Jira for managing project deliverables.
• Manage governance routines including daily/weekly routines, tollgates, and program increment preparation.
• Create, maintain, and execute project plans.
• Integrate with project, technology, and business partners to manage projects and gather status updates.
• Facilitate communication, influence, and negotiate to obtain agreement between partners.
• Establish and provide supporting documentation for governance routines.
• Establish status templates and weekly status update routines.

Requirements

• 5+ years' experience in Agile and project management.
• Knowledge of Agile methodology and frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, XP, etc.).
• Knowledge of the software development lifecycle.
• Ability to lead and influence teams in adopting Agile principles.
• Ability to ensure the correct use of the Scrum process.
• Ability to manage complex projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to foster strong collaboration among team members and help solve problems.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, analytical, and presentation skills.
• Self-motivated and able to manage multiple priorities without sacrificing quality or timelines.
• High level of credibility with executives and business partners.

Nice-to-haves

• Scrum Master Certification is preferred.
• Experience with Scrum Master, Agile, and Jira.
• High level understanding of client Enterprise Change Standards.
