About the position

The Agile Scrum Master position at Changing Technologies, Inc. is a contract role based in Research Triangle Park, NC, primarily serving a government client in the state of North Carolina. The Scrum Master, or Kanban Flow Master, will play a crucial role in guiding teams and leadership in the implementation of Scrum or Kanban processes. This position is designed for an individual who can ensure that teams work efficiently and continuously improve their processes. The Scrum Master will focus on helping teams become self-organizing, cross-functional, and accountable, while supporting them in achieving their Sprint goals. This will involve facilitating relevant events, removing obstacles, and resolving external issues that may hinder progress. In this role, the Scrum Master will coach and guide teams in Agile methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe. They will facilitate the planning, development, and delivery of products to a high standard, collaborating closely with Product Owners, Developers, and Stakeholders. The Scrum Master will also support Agile transformation strategies set by the Agile Transformation Coach and foster a positive and productive Agile team culture that drives value for customers and the business. Additionally, the Scrum Master will manage and support the development of Cúram/Java web-based applications, using Agile principles to resolve backlog items and ensure quality deliverables. Conflict resolution and stakeholder engagement will also be key components of this role, as the Scrum Master will help resolve business and team conflicts and involve Product Owners in decision-making processes.

Requirements

  • Deep understanding and experience with Agile values, principles, and practices (Scrum, Kanban) - 7 years required.
  • Experience with MS Project, MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, SharePoint - 7 years required.
  • Skilled in backlog prioritization, grooming, and understanding of epic/stories/tasks - 7 years required.
  • Experience creating dashboards, monitoring sprint progress, and providing updates in JIRA - 7 years required.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities or projects without compromising quality - 7 years required.
  • Excellent communication with both technical and non-technical audiences - 5 years required.
  • Strong skills in risk and business impact analysis and reporting - 7 years required.
  • Experience gaining support from stakeholders - 4 years required.
  • Ability to manage, maintain, and analyse data for insights - 4 years required.
  • Proven leadership, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills - 4 years required.
  • Skilled in planning and acting 'just enough, just in time' to move projects forward - 4 years required.
  • Hands-on experience with Java, .Net/C#, or similar programming languages - 5 years required.
  • Proficient with relational databases like Oracle or SQL Server - 5 years required.
