About the position

Genesis10 is seeking an Agile Scrum Master for a 12+ month contract position in the financial industry. The role involves utilizing agile methodologies to manage and deliver solutions, championing agile practices across development teams, and facilitating scrum events. The Scrum Master will also be responsible for training and mentoring teams, managing tasks and risks, and preparing status reports for stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Use agile methodology values, principles, and practices to plan, estimate, manage, and deliver solutions
• Champion and embody the Agile way-of-life across the development teams
• Encourage and support iterative and collaborative development
• Train, mentor, and support scrum teams to follow agile values, principles, and practices
• Determine and manage tasks, issues, risks, and action items
• Schedule and facilitate scrum events, meetings, and decision-making processes
• Monitor progress and performance and help teams to make improvements
• Plan and organize demos and product/system testing
• Ensure the proper use of collaborative processes and remove impediments for the scrum team
• Track project processes, deliverables, and releases
• Prepare and present status reports to stakeholders

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or combination of relevant education and experience
• 10+ years PMP
• 10+ years Certified Scrum Master
• 15+ years of experience as a TPM or in a similar role
• Strong familiarity with core Agile Values and modern software engineering techniques
• Expertise in Lean, Kanban, Scrum and other similar Frameworks
• Leadership and management experience
• Excellent people and project management skills
• Able to shape strong presentations and narratives that influence people to change
• Strong knowledge & Experience with leading and implementing CI/CD concepts
