About the position

BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Agile Scrum Master for an opportunity in Kennesaw, GA. The Agile Scrum Master will act as a key liaison across business units, other agile teams, and the program team. This role is crucial for contributing to the successful implementation of assigned features by optimizing the flow of stories and the value delivered. The Scrum Master will work closely with Business Partners and application Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to identify and mitigate risks while executing the delivery of end-to-end technology solutions. The position requires effective management of timelines and communication of feature status within the team, as well as with leadership and business partners. The Agile Scrum Master will coordinate agile ceremonies, manage dependencies for the team, and provide visibility into team plans and progress. This role is also responsible for enabling continuous improvement within the team and the organization. The Scrum Master will coach their team(s) on work management tools and ensure adherence to enterprise change standards. Close collaboration with analysts, developers, and testers is essential to ensure that requirements and designs are accurately translated into working stories and that test plans/scripts meet customer needs while complying with enterprise change policy.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a key agile-team liaison across business units and other agile teams.
  • Contribute to the successful implementation of assigned features by optimizing the flow of stories and the value delivered.
  • Work with Business Partners and application SMEs to identify and mitigate risks in the delivery of technology solutions.
  • Manage timelines and communicate feature status within the team and with leadership and business partners.
  • Coordinate agile ceremonies and manage dependencies for the team.
  • Provide visibility into team plans and progress, enabling continuous improvement within the team and organization.
  • Coach team(s) on work management tools and adherence to enterprise change standards.
  • Collaborate closely with analysts, developers, and testers to ensure requirements and designs are accurately translated into working stories and test plans/scripts.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Agile Scrum Master in a financial domain.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and frameworks, including Scrum, SAFe, and Kanban.
  • Experience with Jira and other project management tools.
  • Excellent relationship management, communication, teamwork, and influence skills.
  • Ability to operate at senior levels in both written and verbal communications.
  • Analytical and project management skills with a thorough understanding of customer business needs.
  • Familiarity with various SDLC methodologies, including waterfall and agile.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of Enterprise Change Management Process.
  • Proficient with Jira Align, Confluence, Octane, MS Office, and SQL.
