About the position

The Agile Team Coach will support key priorities and efforts for a client in the criminal justice sector, facilitating the access to and exchange of information between sources of criminal justice data. This role involves leading and guiding software development product teams in the Agile Scrum framework, focusing on modernization and software development initiatives. The Agile Team Coach will be responsible for organizing, facilitating, and leading Scrum events for one or more product teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and effective backlog management.

Responsibilities

  • Coach the product team on the continued adoption of Scrum and related best practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Support and coach the team in processes and approaches that will drive high value and efficient increments in line with the organization's values, policies, and business objectives.
  • Coach the Product Owner and Product Team on effective backlog management and organization of priorities.
  • Develop and provide visibility to metrics and reporting measures that track performance indicators for the team, proposing opportunities for improvements based on trends.
  • Coordinate and support the intake, planning, and delivery execution of the work for the team in alignment with product management, enterprise, planning, and leadership.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Agile Coach working with cross-functional teams.
  • Deep understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and Lean.
  • Excellent coaching and mentoring skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills.
  • Agile-related certifications such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or equivalent are a plus.
  • Experience with Agile product management tools and practices.
