About the position

The Agile Training Coach/Scrum Master will play a crucial role in transforming a large automotive company's project management approach from waterfall to Agile/Scrum methodologies. This position involves working closely with a small team, facilitating Scrum ceremonies, and ensuring adherence to Agile principles. The role requires a strong presence on-site three days a week and involves significant collaboration with both onshore and offshore teams.

Responsibilities

  • Transform the client's environment from waterfall to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Schedule and facilitate Scrum ceremonies including daily scrums, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint retrospectives, and sprint review meetings.
  • Work heavily with JIRA and Confluence to manage project tasks and documentation.
  • Collaborate with a team consisting of a product owner, business analyst, developers, and QA personnel.
  • Act as the sole onshore Agile Training Coach for the team.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master guiding teams through Agile processes.
  • Experience working within Scrum and Kanban frameworks.
  • Proficient in using Scrum tools, specifically JIRA, for project tracking.
  • Previous experience working with offshore teams.
  • Ability to work onsite three days a week in South Jersey.
