About the position

The Assistant General Manager (AGM) at a private club in Miami, FL, is responsible for overseeing front of house operations, ensuring exceptional dining experiences, and leading a team of hospitality professionals. The role requires a strong background in hospitality management, with a focus on service excellence, guest relations, and financial management.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and mentor the front of house team to deliver outstanding service consistently.
• Oversee all front of house operations to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Uphold the highest standards of quality and presentation in all aspects of service.
• Foster a welcoming and hospitable atmosphere for guests, anticipating their needs and preferences.
• Work closely with the management team to develop and implement strategies for maximizing revenue.
• Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure seamless coordination between front and back of house operations.
• Develop and implement ongoing training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of front of house staff.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an AGM in a Michelin-starred, James Beard-recognized, or Forbes-rated restaurant or equivalent.
• Extensive knowledge of fine dining service standards, wine service, and food pairing.
• Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact confidently with guests and colleagues at all levels.
• Proficiency in restaurant management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
