About the position

The Agricultural Equipment Operators at Adams Farms Inc play a crucial role in the farming operations, assisting in various tasks throughout the growing season. This position involves operating modern agricultural equipment and performing essential duties related to planting, spraying, tillage, and harvesting crops on a family-owned farm in Southern Illinois.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planting, spraying, tillage, and fertility applications during the growing season.
• Operate tractors, farm trucks, harvesters, grain carts, and other farm equipment.
• Mix and apply chemicals and fertilizers as needed.
• Clean and maintain grain bins and other farm equipment.
• Haul grain from fields to storage locations and dump loads into bins.
• Complete general farm duties as assigned, including maintenance projects.
• Perform routine repairs and maintenance on farm equipment.

Requirements

• Positive attitude and willingness to work through difficulties.
• Ability to work late when weather or crop growth stages demand it.
• Experience operating agricultural equipment is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with John Deere equipment is a plus.
