About the position

The Agricultural Nursery Worker position involves performing various tasks related to the care and maintenance of nursery stock. This role requires physical stamina and the ability to work in extreme weather conditions. Workers will be responsible for watering, loading, unloading, and maintaining plants, as well as adhering to safety protocols and quality standards set by the employer.

Responsibilities

• Watering nursery stock using pumps or hoses.
• Loading and unloading plants by hand.
• Pruning, cutting, and deadheading plants as needed.
• Fertilizing plants with granular or liquid fertilizer.
• Cleaning work areas to maintain a safe and organized environment.
• Transporting plant materials as required.
• Following safety and motor vehicle laws while operating vehicles on public roadways.

Requirements

• Ability to work in extreme conditions such as heat, humidity, wind, and cold.
• Physical capability to lift and carry supplies up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to follow instructions and safety protocols.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements and work in bent or crouched positions for extended periods.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in agricultural or nursery work is preferred but not mandatory.
