About the position

The Agricultural Parts Specialist is responsible for providing exceptional customer service in a retail environment, specifically focusing on agricultural parts. This role involves assisting customers in identifying and obtaining the necessary parts, managing inventory, and ensuring a clean and organized workspace. The position requires a blend of sales skills and technical knowledge to effectively meet customer needs and drive additional sales.

Responsibilities

• Wait on customers and solicit additional sales.
• Charge out merchandise and make necessary entries to the inventory control system.
• Distribute special order parts and receive warranty parts.
• Maintain shelf stock and keep the counter and showroom clean and neat.
• Identify needed items using parts catalogs and assist customers in locating merchandise.
• Fill customer requests for out-of-stock or non-stocked merchandise.
• Ensure timely delivery of the correct parts to technicians or customers.
• Track lost sales and complete required documentation for disbursing parts.
• Record and enter special orders and follow through to installation or delivery.
• Tag defective merchandise properly and place it in the warranty parts bin.
• Return unsold merchandise to stock and note discrepancies in inventory records.

Requirements

• 3-4 years of experience in agricultural or industrial parts retail counter.
• Ability to type 50-70 words per minute.
• Valid Driver's License.
