AGV TECHNICIAN

About the position

The AGV Technician position at Georgia-Pacific's Muskogee facility focuses on managing the day-to-day operations of Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) to meet production needs. The role involves troubleshooting, maintaining, and operating AGVs while collaborating with various teams to ensure efficient production processes. The position requires strong mechanical and electrical skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, document, and reset faults in AGVs.
• Take AGVs out of service and return them to service as needed.
• Manually move AGVs when required.
• Reset positions of AGVs and perform clean-up tasks.
• Learn specific skills required to maintain and operate AGVs.
• Demonstrate the ability to multi-task and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Exhibit strong mechanical and basic electrical skills.
• Utilize strong computer skills in daily tasks.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of one year of experience in a manufacturing, industrial, agricultural, or military environment, or completion of post high school education in a manufacturing/industrial centered program.
• Experience with Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV).

Nice-to-haves

• Solid interpersonal skills for knowledge transfer to Automated Systems Technicians.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Experience working in a hot, humid, noisy, and high-volume machine production area.
