About the position

Boeing Global Service is seeking Apache Structures/Sheet Metal Technicians to join the AH-64E Qatar Air Force Maintenance Augmentation Team (MAT). This role involves inspecting, repairing, and replacing aircraft structural components, and it requires a long-term assignment to Qatar for a minimum of 2 years. The position is based in Goodyear, Arizona, with relocation benefits provided for the international assignment. The selected candidate will work onsite and must meet export control compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, and replace aircraft structural components according to drawings, blueprints, directives, technical manuals, and safety procedures.
• Fabricate structural parts and form metal using various techniques.
• Mix and apply fiberglass materials for repairs.
• Make emergency and permanent repairs to transparent plastic windows and enclosures.
• Use measuring tools and precision gages to perform structural repairs.
• Mix and apply primers and paints to aircraft surfaces.
• Apply corrosion control treatment to aircraft metals.
• Requisition and maintain shop and bench stock items for aircraft structure repairs.
• Provide on-the-job training, coaching, and mentorship to QAF personnel.

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of performing military aircraft sheet metal repairs experience.
• Minimum 1 year of experience with the AH-64D or AH-64E aircraft.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with Unit Level Logistics System-Aviation (ULLS-A(E)) and Enhanced Logbook Automation System (ELAS) entries.
• Successfully completed and qualified by the appropriate U.S. Government armed forces aircraft maintenance course or civilian equivalent training.

Nice-to-haves

• Army Service School Instructor or civilian equivalent instructing experience for aircraft technicians.
• Prior experience or qualification in another aviation maintenance field.
• Prior experience working in the Southwest Asia/desert region.
• FAA A&P license.
