About the position

The AI Application Security Engineer will work within Lenovo's Security Center of Excellence for the PC and Smart Device business. This role involves collaborating with global product teams to conduct security reviews of AI products, including hardware, software, and services. The engineer will be responsible for establishing security requirements, threat modeling, and evaluating security risks throughout the product development lifecycle. This position supports a wide range of Lenovo products and requires staying current with the latest security testing tools and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Build security requirements for AI products.
• Review product designs, model threats, and provide feedback to development teams.
• Review product release candidates, assess security risks, and drive mitigation of vulnerabilities.
• Stay up to date on the latest testing tools and techniques to ensure effective security methods.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, computer science, computer engineering, or related fields.
• 1+ years of cybersecurity review experience.
• 1+ years of experience with AI/ML technologies and implementing related security controls.

Nice-to-haves

• Strong written and verbal communications and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently under tight deadlines, responding to changing business and technical conditions with minimal direction.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, JavaScript, C/C++, C#, Kotlin, Swift, etc.
• Experience working in a world-wide team.
• Experience with AI model training, inferencing, RAG, prompt engineering, and AI guardrails.
• Experience threat modeling both non-generative and generative AI solutions.
