About the position

The AI Application Security Engineer will work within the Security Center of Excellence for Lenovo's PC and Smart Device business. This role focuses on performing security reviews for AI products, collaborating with global product teams to establish security requirements, model threats, and enhance product designs. The engineer will evaluate security risks, conduct validation tests, and ensure that the latest security tools and techniques are utilized effectively.

Responsibilities

• Build security requirements for AI products
• Review product designs and model threats
• Provide feedback to development teams
• Review product release candidates and assess security risks
• Drive mitigation of vulnerabilities
• Stay updated on the latest testing tools and techniques
• Scope, plan, and execute security validation tests

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, computer science, computer engineering, or related fields
• 1+ years of cybersecurity review experience
• 1+ years of experience with AI/ML technologies and implementing related security controls

Nice-to-haves

• Strong written and verbal communications and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently under tight deadlines
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, JavaScript, C/C++, C#, Kotlin, Swift
• Experience working in a world-wide team
• Experience with AI model training, inferencing, RAG, prompt engineering, and AI guardrails
• Experience threat modeling both non-generative and generative AI solutions
