About the position

Outlier is seeking experienced English writers to assist in training generative artificial intelligence models. This freelance position allows for flexible hours and is focused on providing human feedback to improve AI models. Writers will engage in reading, writing, and assessing AI-generated text, ensuring quality and relevance.

Responsibilities

• Read English text to rank responses produced by an AI model.
• Write and rewrite prompts and responses, including research and fact-checking.
• Assess the factuality and relevance of text produced by AI models.

Requirements

• Experience as a professional writer or editor.
• Currently enrolled in or completed an associate degree or higher in a writing-related discipline at an accredited institution.
• Strong writing style with exceptional English-language spelling and grammar skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to clearly explain strengths and weaknesses of text.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in grammar and language proficiency.
• Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts.
