About the position

The AI Data Architect will play a crucial role in shaping data-driven initiatives within the public sector, focusing on AI technologies and data architecture principles. This position involves collaboration with various stakeholders to implement AI-powered solutions while ensuring compliance with regulations and ethical considerations. The architect will engage in risk assessments, technical solutioning, and the development of processes surrounding AI usage.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Chief Data Officer and stakeholders to develop and implement a comprehensive AI strategy.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of potential AI use cases, considering feasibility, impact, and risks.
  • Evaluate the technical soundness of AI project proposals, focusing on architecture, security, privacy, data quality, model performance, and scalability.
  • Assess the potential impact of AI projects and identify risks associated with data privacy, algorithmic bias, and misuse of AI.
  • Foster strong relationships with cross-functional teams and provide guidance on technical and ethical considerations.
  • Stay updated on the latest AI technologies and trends, evaluating their suitability for specific use cases.
  • Prepare clear and concise technical reports summarizing project reviews and outlining trends in use cases.

Requirements

  • Leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to translate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Technical background in AI and machine learning, including knowledge of AI/ML tools and models (e.g., Google Vertex, AWS Kendra, Snowflake Cortex, AWS SageMaker, Google AI Studio).
  • Experience with cloud computing (AWS, GCP), big data technologies (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery), and data architecture principles.
  • Experience in AI and data architecture and management.
  • Knowledge of responsible AI principles and ethical considerations.
  • Senior analytical and problem-solving skills.
