About the position

As an AI Engineer at VORTO, you will play a crucial role in optimizing logistics and supply chain processes through innovative software solutions. This position combines software engineering and data science, focusing on developing AI tools and algorithms to enhance supply prediction and demand forecasting. You will work closely with a dedicated team to create end-to-end solutions that address complex business challenges in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Solve problems using mechanistic, bottom-up thinking and statistical, top-down approaches.
• Develop novel mechanisms to optimize the supply chain.
• Build and improve the intelligence behind logistics simulations and market optimization algorithms.
• Implement and ship models to predict demand for commodities, supply availability, estimated arrival times, and delays.

Requirements

• 5+ years experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to design and implement AI tools in Go.
• Experience in at least one ML framework, such as TensorFlow, Keras, or PyTorch.
• Experience building solutions involving algorithms, optimization, reinforcement learning, artificial neural networks, discrete event simulation, and case-based reasoning.
• Ability to execute with little oversight and solve problems quickly.
• Experience with function/path optimization and common algorithms like linear programming, BOBYQA, A* Search, and simulated annealing.
• Advanced degree in a quantitative field.
