About the position

The AI Engineer II position is a contract role within the Big Data Services department, focusing on leveraging Generative AI foundation models to address real-world challenges in the oil and gas midstream sector. The engineer will collaborate with the Data Engineering team and business functions to design and implement innovative AI solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement applications using LLMs and foundation models (e.g., GPT-4, Claude, DALL-E)
• Develop sophisticated prompting strategies and chain-of-thought reasoning systems
• Create APIs and interfaces to connect AI models with existing applications
• Build RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) systems for domain-specific applications
• Ensure responsible AI usage, including safety measures and ethical considerations
• Optimize model performance and costs through efficient prompt design and caching strategies

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in AI engineering
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
