About the position

CliniComp is seeking a Multimodal AI Engineer to lead innovative healthcare AI initiatives, focusing on large language models (LLM) and image multimodal foundation models. The role involves driving research and developing predictive models for medical applications, collaborating with a dynamic team to refine AI technologies and tackle complex challenges in computer science, particularly in data curation and training advanced AI models.

Responsibilities

  • Lead research initiatives in healthcare AI focusing on LLM and image multimodal foundation models.
  • Develop predictive models for medical applications using diverse data types such as imaging, clinical notes, and vitals.
  • Collaborate with team members to push the boundaries of AI machine learning in healthcare solutions.
  • Curate and prepare multimodal datasets for training AI models in the healthcare domain.
  • Produce documentation for model improvements and clinical applications.

Requirements

  • PhD in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
  • 2+ years of industry work experience in multimodal AI.
  • Proficiency in designing and fine-tuning models that handle diverse data types using AI architectures like transformers and GPT.
  • Experience in preparing and curating multimodal datasets for AI training in healthcare.
  • Excellent programming skills in Python and C/C++ for AI model implementation.
  • Strong command over deep learning frameworks like PyTorch and familiarity with NLP libraries such as NLTK and spaCy.
  • Expertise in model compression techniques and large-scale distributed model training.
  • Demonstrated track record of publications in top-tier conferences and contributions to machine learning communities.
  • Ability to innovate and adapt to cutting-edge AI techniques for healthcare applications.
  • Experience in producing AI models tailored for clinical fields.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of advanced AI concepts like parameter-efficient tuning and reinforcement learning from human feedback.
  • Experience with CUDA programming and imaging processing libraries such as opencv2 and VTK.
  • Familiarity with vector databases like Chroma and Pinecone for handling medical data.
