The AI Engineer - Sr. Manager Level position at Capital One focuses on leading the development and deployment of AI-powered products that enhance customer interactions and improve operational efficiency. Responsibilities

  • Partner with a cross-functional team to deliver AI-powered products.
  • Oversee the design, development, testing, deployment, and support of AI software components.
  • Make build-vs-buy decisions across a broad stack of AI technologies.
  • Invent and introduce LLM optimization techniques to improve performance of AI systems.
  • Contribute to the technical vision and long-term roadmap of foundational AI systems.
  • Attract and retain top talent in the AI industry and nurture team development.
  • Foster a culture of learning and staying abreast of the latest AI advancements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or AI plus at least 6 years of experience in AI and ML technologies, or a Master's degree plus at least 4 years of experience.
  • At least 1 year of people leadership experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • 3 years of experience managing and leading an engineering team.
  • 6 years of experience deploying scalable AI solutions on cloud platforms.
  • Experience developing AI and ML algorithms or technologies.
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or relevant technical field.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
