About the position

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative AI Engineer to join our dynamic team. The AI Engineer will work on developing and implementing AI and machine learning algorithms, models, and systems to solve complex problems and improve business processes. The ideal candidate will have experience in AI model development, programming, and data analysis, with a passion for cutting-edge technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy AI models and machine learning algorithms to solve business problems, including classification, regression, clustering, NLP, and reinforcement learning.
• Process, clean, and analyze large datasets to extract insights and identify patterns that can be leveraged for model development.
• Train machine learning models, tune hyperparameters, and optimize the performance of models using techniques like cross-validation, feature engineering, and model selection.
• Work closely with product managers, data scientists, and software engineers to integrate AI models into production systems and products.
• Stay up to date with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning technologies, and apply new techniques and methodologies to solve real-world challenges.
• Evaluate and validate the performance of AI models and algorithms, ensuring their accuracy, reliability, and scalability.
• Deploy AI solutions in production environments and monitor their performance, making necessary adjustments to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Create detailed documentation for AI systems and models, explaining the underlying methods, assumptions, and results.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Proven experience working with machine learning algorithms, deep learning, and AI technologies, 3 to 5 years' experience is required.
• Proficiency in Python, R, or other relevant programming languages (e.g., C++, Java).
• Experience with machine learning libraries and frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, Scikit-learn, or similar.
• Strong knowledge of data manipulation and analysis using tools like Pandas, NumPy, SQL, etc.
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work on complex tasks autonomously.
• Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience in AI-related fields like Natural Language Processing (NLP), Computer Vision, or Reinforcement Learning.
• Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for AI model deployment.
• Experience in deploying machine learning models in production systems at scale.
• Research experience in academic or industry AI-related fields.
• Strong understanding of machine learning, deep learning, and statistical modeling techniques.
• Ability to work with large datasets and experience in data wrangling and preprocessing.
• Knowledge of algorithms, optimization methods, and software engineering practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
• Ability to continuously learn and adapt to evolving AI technologies and tools.
• Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
