About the position

As an AI Engineer at Promega, you will play a crucial role in leveraging artificial intelligence, machine learning, and robotic process automation to drive business transformation. This position involves collaborating with various teams to develop and deploy innovative AI solutions that enhance operational efficiency and optimize core business processes, ensuring that technology aligns with Promega's strategic goals.

Responsibilities

• Utilize OpenAI and Copilot Studio to design, code/build, debug, deploy, and maintain GPTs and Copilots.
• Design, develop, and implement AI models, algorithms, and systems to solve complex business problems.
• Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to integrate machine learning models into broader system architectures.
• Develop RPA solutions to automate repetitive tasks and optimize business processes.
• Stay ahead of industry trends in AI, ML, and RPA solutions for development and management.
• Work closely with data management and infrastructure teams to optimize data flow and infrastructure for AI deployment.
• Collaborate with AI experts and data scientists to align AI initiatives with business objectives.
• Stay updated on advancements in AI, machine learning, and automation technologies, and train team members on these technologies.
• Partner with other AI experts and technical innovators across the enterprise.
• Demonstrate inclusion and accountability for a safe workspace, acting with kindness and respect for others.
• Incorporate Promega's Emotional & Social Intelligence core principles in daily work.
• Comply with ethical, legal, and regulatory requirements applicable to the business.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in application development.
• Experience with GenAI and RPA technologies, including proficiency in Python, R, Microsoft languages, and Microsoft Power Platform tools.
• Experience with LLMs (GPT 3.5, GPT 4) including prompt development.
• Experience working in Azure and with Azure OpenAI.
• Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, neural networks, and data structures.
• Strong problem-solving and technical efficiency skills.
• High enthusiasm for new technologies and their application across diverse business processes.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to interact with business users and translate their needs into technical solutions.
• Experience educating non-technical team members in technology tools and concepts.
• Familiarity with compliance and regulatory requirements in a business environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in Machine Learning algorithms and hands-on experience with ML toolkits.
• SQL Database experience.
• Experience with Atlassian tools: JIRA, Confluence, etc.
• Familiarity with ISO certification 27001 and 42001.
• Experience working in a hybrid Agile work structure.
