About the position

Beyondsoft Consulting, Inc. is seeking an AI Engineer for a hybrid position based in Redmond, WA. The ideal candidate will be a Machine Learning (ML) applications generalist with experience across a range of ML/AI algorithms, focusing on decarbonizing datacenters. This role involves selecting optimal algorithms for various applications, constructing training and inference pipelines using the client's internal ML tools, and collaborating on the development of new tools. The position requires working on sophisticated software implementation projects, gathering and analyzing system requirements, and providing quality assurance reviews.

Responsibilities

  • Fine-tune and improve a variety of sophisticated software implementation projects.
  • Gather and analyze system requirements, document specifications, and develop software solutions to meet client needs and data.
  • Analyze and review enhancement requests and specifications.
  • Implement system software and customize to client requirements.
  • Prepare the detailed software specifications and test plans.
  • Code new programs to client's specifications and create test data for testing.
  • Modify existing programs to new standards and conduct unit testing of developed programs.
  • Create migration packages for system testing, user testing, and implementation.
  • Provide quality assurance reviews.
  • Perform post-implementation validation of software and resolve any bugs found during testing.
  • Select and implement suitable ML/AI algorithms tailored to specific application scenarios in a datacenter decarbonization context.
  • Build, deploy, and maintain training and inference pipelines using Client's internal ML tools.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, potentially utilizing or contributing to new tools in development.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years of programming experience in multiple programming languages (C, C++, Python, etc.).
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience with Machine Learning algorithms (e.g., large language models, generative machine learning, Bayesian learning, reinforcement learning, active learning, etc.).
  • Minimum 2+ years of demonstrated code documentation skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering, or related field required.
  • Solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
  • Large systems software design and development experience.
  • Experience performing in-depth troubleshooting and unit testing with both new and legacy production systems.
  • Experience in programming and problem diagnosis and resolution.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Background in machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
  • Proven experience in working with a variety of ML/AI algorithms, with the ability to determine the best-fit models for different scenarios.
  • Strong skills in building and deploying ML pipelines for training and inference.
  • Familiarity with Client's ML tools or readiness to learn and adapt quickly.
  • Strong problem-solving and generalist approach to AI/ML applications.
  • Experience working within large-scale cloud infrastructures or data centers is a plus.
